WEEK 21: Five months down, WHAT??!?

hi everyone!

today is a happy today because I hit my five month mark! Its so crazy! I seriously feel like I just got here. mission time is so weird, its just seriously flying by. whaaaaat.

We kinda had a crazy week this week. definitely was a good one. lets see. 

first of all, last week we had an appointment with a less active family who lives pretty far out of the city. The parents are less active, and they have two daughters who aren't members. We were super excited! We had to take a bus out to there house and I was a little terrified. We got on the bus and we called the lady to ask how to get to her house and SHE DIDNT ANSWER! We called her like six times and she wouldnt answer her freaking phone, and we had no idea where to get off. SO we said a little prayer and got off. Andddd it was pretty lame because we just started walking. I had been to her house before so I was pretty sure I would recognize her house... but I was so wrong. We walked and walked and walked and tried to call her over and over and she just wouldnt answer. Well, we decided we should probably just catch a bus and head back to the city because I had no idea where to go but heres the best part: the buses were done for the day! So we got to walk six miles back to our sector in skirts and sunday shoes. It was super beautiful and so it was fine. But yeah, definitely was an adventure. We didnt get ahold of the lady until that night, where she informed us she wasnt even in her house all day. hahaha. definitely not doing that again...

this week we had stake conference. Hermana Norton and I were able to go to both sessions because we went with a recent convert. It was such a nice suprise because our mission president and his wife were there speaking! We didnt know they were going to be there, and it was so nice to see them. After the conference we went up to say hi, and hermana norton decided to ask them if they wanted to come to our apartment and eat lunch with us. We didnt expect them to come butttttt they did! We made them a very fancy lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, and frozen vegetables. It was kinda embarassing but it was such a good experience for us to sit and talk to them for awhile. They are so fun!

Butttt yeah thats basically my week! We have a lot of good plans for this week and its going to be just so so fun,
